CMC Laboratories, Inc. is a Failure Analysis Laboratory, located in Tempe Arizona, that focusses on root cause analysis and failure mode identification. CMC’s analysis goal is to provide customers with the root cause of a failure and to work closely with the customer to identify process or control changes that can eliminate the failure.

CMC’s core expertise is in material science, semiconductor packaging, semiconductor assembly and chemistry/electro-chemistry. Our analysis capabilities include SEM and high resolution optical microstructural and construction analysis, mechanical property evaluations including tensile testing and micro-hardness testing, thermal property evaluation including laser flash thermal conductivity, and elemental/phase analysis including SEM/EDS. CMC also has an electrochemical development laboratory that is used to develop complex electrolytic and electroless plating processes to fit specific customer requirements.
